Procedure to carry out the
project:
- Entry Note: Teacher to ask students about their favourite car. Let learners state their reasons as to why they like a particular car.
- Start with a note: Let’s start the project with
the thought in mind that drive your dream through technology.
- Make a timeline of the following important events
related to evolution of cars through the years.

First
steam powered automobile capable of human transportation.
Ø
Invention
of the electric ignition system.
Ø
Introduction
of the Volkswagen Beetle.
Ø
The
first solar car invented.
- Elaborate the contribution of Karl Benz, the
inventor of the first petrol powered car. (Benz Patent-Motorwagen)
- Mention the history of the Detroit Automobile
Company in America.
- Explain the current budget provisions related to
buying a luxury car (BMW, Audi, Maruti Ciaz, Tata Aria etc ) or a
commercial car (Tabcab, Meru, Cool Cab, etc) in India.
- Discuss how the concept of buying imported cars
evolved in India.
- Mark four countries famous for their automobile
industry on a world map.
- Describe the car manufacturing industry in Japan
and its relevance in India.
- Explain the growth of the car manufacturing
industry in India.
- Discuss the contribution of TATA Motors/ Mahindra
Motors in revolutionizing the automobile industry in India.
- Explain about the mineral and power resources
involved in making a car using the following table.
